Linda Lucille Smith, 75, of Hot Springs Village, died December 9, 2018. Born in Little Rock, in 1943, she was the daughter of Harry McDonald Crowe and Lucille N. Cockmon. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Harry McDonald Crowe, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Robert (Bob) Whaley Smith, and their combined family which includes children, Traci Henley, Mark McCastlain, Bobba Rhine, Valerie Smith, Angela Yarbrough, Paul Smith, Andrew Smith and thirteen grandchildren.
In younger years, Linda enjoyed tennis with the Russellville Women’s Tennis Club. When Bob retired from Virco in 1998, they moved from Conway to The Village where she joined the Tennis Club again and played as long as her health would allow. She took up golf and enjoyed the Lady Duffers until necessary dialysis treatments replaced her more enjoyable activities. Her lifelong passion for fishing made The Village a perfect place to live. And her many friendships included the Reddie Girls from Henderson State University and friends at Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines, including Circle Group #2.
If Linda was not on the fishing dock with her adored Sunny, she could tell you about the latest accomplishment, dance, or sporting event of grandchildren Brian, J, Ezekiel, Torianna, Matthew, Ben, Andrew, Emma, Abby, Morgan, Kaden, Seth or Drew.
There was a special place in her heart for those who served our country. Please think of her when you donate to your favorite Veteran charity.
Services will be held on Friday, 12/14/18, at noon, at Hot Springs Village Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines Church. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Little Rock, Arkansas.
Arrangements have been entrusted to CedarVale Funeral Home of Hot Springs Village, AR
