Madge Martell

Madge and my late Mother (Jeanette Marten) were very long-time friends and bridge partners. When we were looking at an assisted living facility for my Mom, Mom said that she wanted Greenwood Manor and would love Madge's apartment, which she had visited many time. To our great surprise and pleasure, Mom moved into Madge's apartment. I remember visiting Madge there several times and before that, her apartment at Good Sam. She was such a a kind and caring person and was such a good friend to Mom. Now the two will be playing bridge in Heaven! Tim, I never met you, but I felt like I knew you from how much your Mom talked about you! Keep all the happy memories in your mind at this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear about Madge. When she was at Good Samaritan we would spend a lot of time together. I loved just being with her. We shared peanut butter sandwhiches and vanilla ice cream. We even had the same bright pink shoes. Lots of pictures and memories!! I wish I had known sooner. She will truly be missed. I loved her very much!!

Tom and family-- I am sorry that I am just finding out that Aunt Madge has passed away this past October. I was wondering why I was getting- Non Deliverable- mail back for her. I had been keeping her in my thoughts and prayers. She was a sweetheart. Sorry I never made it down to see her. I know mom and I had wanted to come visit her and then Virginia was unable to travel that far- before her passing. I hope that she went peacefully. That last time I talked to her, she was doing ok, but having quite a bit of pain. I enjoyed our visits on the phone before she moved to the rehab center. Thoughts and prayers are with you all.
