  • Ms. Doris Pearl Petree, 101, was called home by the Lord Friday, September 21, 2018.

    Doris was born July 31, 1917 and was a life member of the Church of Christ, through which she actively served her Lord.

    She was preceded in death by her late husband Louis Joe Petree with whom she shared her life for 60 years.

    She was blessed with two children, Jimmy Petree (Sharon) of Houston, Texas; and Carole Jeanene Orr (Ben) of Hot Springs, Arkansas and four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and seven great- great grandchildren.

    She was passionate about painting in oil and writing poetry.

    Doris touched many lives during her life and will be fondly remembered..

    Very sorry for your loss. I hope you can find some comfort from the words at Psalms 147:3 that says; "He is healing the broken hearted ones and is binding up their painful spots." God as the hearer of prayer will comfort you in the days ahead as you remember Ms. Doris.
