  • Lu Aron Jackson of Hot Springs Village, AR passed away on April 6, 2018. He was born August 19, 1938 in Bemis, Tn. to Aron and Bessie Jackson.

    Luther was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Doris Cox.

    He is survived by his wife Dixie and his sons Steve and Mark Jackson and two grandchildren, Addison and Cody.

    A Service will be held Friday April 13, 2018 at First Assembly Of God 1096 Desoto Blvd, Hot Springs Village, AR at 1 PM with viewing at 9 to 11 AM at the CedarVale Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers: Steven Jackson, Mark Jackson, Mike Brady, Ken Rossetto, Sean Poppoff and Troy St. Tours.

    Lu served 4 years in the U.S. Airforce and was honorably discharged in 1962. After his service he worked for The Boeing Company. He worked in various capacities until 1995 when he retired early. Lu lived in Bemis, TN, Seattle, WA, Omaha, NB, and Henderson, NV, before settling in the Hot Springs Village, AR. Lu and Dixie made many trips to see his sons and grandchildren in Seattle, WA. Lu loved to dance and travel. Most times he would end up doing them both at the same time. He loved Daytona Beach and more recently he and Dixie would explore the beaches in Mexico.

    Dear Dixie, I am so sorry to hear of Lu’s passing. He was a good man. I always looked forward to Tuesdays when I worked at Charlie’s, so I could see you both. You and Lu’s family will be in my prayers. Much love and peace, Marci.

    Lu, it was such a pleasure to have known you. You always had a great smile and positive attitude that you carried everywhere with you! Even better, you were blessed with sharing the last years of your life with Dixie, who also was always smiling, happy, so upbeat and full of life! Dixie, this is going to be one of the hardest things you ever have to go through. The grieving process is different for everyone. The emotions are many. There is no time limit, no rules. You have two families now, reach out. You have many friends that love you too, ask, when you need them. Remember, Lu loves you with all his being, he is around you, in your mind and in your heart.

    Lu will be missed by many on the dance floor. We so enjoyed watching Lu and Dixie having a great time and especially Lu as "Sonny" with Jackie B and me and his great Elvis costume! Prayers and love with Dixie and the family, Vicki Carlson

    Dixie, I am so sorry to just learn of Lu's passing. You may not remember me, but my husband and I always seemed to run into you and Lu at various places in HSV. I always enjoyed watching the both of you dance together. I hope you find Peace in your heart at this very difficult time. And know that you and Lu are thought of with fondness in my heart.
