Alba Marie Monti

Alba Marie Monti, 93, of Hot Springs Village passed away on July 24, 2016. Ms. Alba was born on March 28, 1923 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Peter and Dominga Zanazzo. Ms. Alba lived in Chicago, Illinois and she worked as an accountant for 36 years and retired from International Harvester Company. She moved to Hot Springs Village in 1983, While living in Hot Springs Village she formed the International Harvester Group, worked with the Kiwanis when her husband Joe was living, helped organize the Hand & Foot card group, Volunteered at Teen Challenge and the Boys & Girls Club, she worked the Front Gate for 20 years as a volunteer, and was part of the Welcoming Committee, she loved dancing and Canning all that husband Joe grew in the garden.

Alba is survived by her 3 daughters: Cheryl Robinson of Florida; Sandi Zemla of Texas; Sue Zagorski and husband Mike of Arkansas; 3 grandchildren: Nicole Lovelady and husband Chris of Florida; Dr. Amie Yanover and husband Steve of Texas; Kurt Zemla and wife Fran of Illinois; and 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Alba was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 42 years Joseph Monti., daughter Christine Monti and her sister Ida Contario.

Ms. Alba was a very loving and compassionate person; she had a smile on her face that brightened up any room that she walked in, she always had a positive outlook on life and looked at the glass half full, she was a very kind hearted person, always willing to lend a helping hand and her door was always opened and never meet a stranger. Ms. Alba was an amazing mother, grandmother and friend.

There will be a Funeral Mass at11:00a.m. on Friday, July 29^th at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, with the Visitation from 10:00 to 10:45 with Father Bill Elser
