  • Arlen Wayne Duesenberg died at home, Monday morning, June 27, 2016.  He will celebrate his 86 th birthday in August in the presence of the Lord.  He will be GREATLY missed by his wife of 62 years, Maxigene (Tierney) Duesenberg and his children Timothy (Leslie) Duesenberg, Kenneth (Kathie) Duesenberg, Bonnie (Andy) Bales, Marjorie (Art) Scholten, Edgar (Virginia) Duesenberg and son’s by love: Phuoc, Truong and An Ho, 25 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Arlen is survived by both of his younger siblings, Richard (Eunice) Duesenberg and Jane Pedelty and their children and grandchildren.

Arlen was a loyal husband, a faithful Christian and a wonderful father.  His humor, wit and wisdom have been a blessing to us all.  The example he set for his family is irreplaceable and worthy of emulation.  His integrity and virtue will remain a beacon to those of us fortunate enough to call him Dad and Grandpa.

Although we are saddened at losing his presence with us here on earth. We linger and work toward the same goal and treasure that he has now gained through the finished work of our Lord, Jesus Christ.  Thank-you, Dad, for your love and care for us all and thank-you, God, for the gift of Arlen as a husband, father and grandfather.

There will be a Visitation from 5:30-6:30 on Thursday, June 30th at CedarVale Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be at 11:00a.m. on Friday, July 1st at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.

We have sent a memorial donation in Arlen's name to the Union Gospel Mission in Los Angeles. Arlen will be sorely missed, but I feel fortunate to have been in his larger than life presence.
